Physical RequirementsThis position may require sitting at a computer workstation and performing tasks with repetitive motions;

and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and / or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds.

Must also be able to reach above or below waist level. Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens.

ShiftShifts may vary depending on location. Hours and days of week subject to change based on the needs and growth of the department.

Requires occasional holiday and weekend rotations are part of the shifts. Number of hours scheduled per week may vary. Potential shifts and locations available will be discussed during the interview.

Job SummaryAssists pharmacists in medicine preparation and distribution for the Retail Pharmacies operating under University of KY Pharmacy Services.

Fills and dispenses prescriptions in a busy retail based setting. Requires attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service.

Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Must be self-motivated and be able to stay on task.

NoPreferred Education / ExperienceRetail and / or Hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required. Hired candidate must maintain licensure as CPhT from PTCB / ExCPT during employment in this position.

The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50 / hour.
