About the Role

We are seeking a talented Technical Program Manager to help us build the most simple and affordable legal services experience on the planet.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects with different teams in different locations, helping plan and prioritize resources and sprints.

You will work directly with the head of Program Management and the leaders of our Product Development team to build, run, and optimize Rocket Lawyer's Acquisition & Retention landscape.

To succeed, you must have experience working directly with engineers and engineering management across globally distributed teams, but also have demonstrable experience engaging with Product, designers, content teams, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams across the organization.

You should have a proven track record of delivering technical solutions at large scales, on time, and with high customer impact.

As a key member of the Technology team, your efforts will make a direct impact on the experiences of millions of customers as well as establish the Rocket Lawyer Platform as a standard of world-class engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product Development team on roadmap planning, dependency identification and resource planning
  • Maintain the RAID log, using it to proactively identify critical risks and dependencies and create contingency plans
  • Plan and execute major product Delivery milestones
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to management on plans, status, and critical issues
  • Know when to escalate urgent issues and drive them to closure in a timely manner
  • Partner with cross-functional teams involved to track critical milestones and dependent work streams
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Business Intelligence, and other teams in support of business objectives
  • Coordinate scrum ceremonies and other Agile processes
  • Create and maintain project documentation as needed to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Help train and evangelize your teams on the use of Agile tools and best practices
  • Document current Program Management processes and help standardize process improvements

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in managing infrastructure, operations, or Engineering-driven projects
  • A solid understanding of SDLC and consistent record of achieving objectives
  • Solid experience working with distributed teams
  • Familiarity working on cross functional projects and interacting with multiple stakeholders to ensure delivery on time is a big plus
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Impeccable communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proven critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence required
  • Preference for prior technical experience or proven experience leading technical projects
  • Preference for PMP or PMI certification, or working toward it
  • Strong ability to manage through ambiguity and to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for program success
