We have an immediate opening for a bookkeeper / office manager. This is an onsite position. The position can be 25 hours per week Monday thru Friday 9am to 2pm or full time at 32.

5 hours per week 9am to 3 : 30pm.

What You Do

  • Full charge accounting for the main company and two small subsidiaries utilizing QuickBooks desktop as your primary application.
  • Accounts receivable
  • Accounts payable
  • Payroll (via QuickBooks)
  • Billing
  • Cash application
  • Maintaining tax compliance through payroll management
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Monitoring and managing cash flow
  • Maintain sales tax compliance
  • Prepare budgets
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Work to automate back office processes
  • Expense report processing and payment
  • Credit card processing
  • Basic HR
  • Employee onboarding
  • Employee accruals and record keeping
  • Benefits administration
  • Insurance
  • 401K
  • Holidays / PTO
  • General office management
  • Managing vendors for phone system, IT, copier and other office machines and services.
  • Supplies
  • Calendar keeping
  • Occasional special projects for company owner

About You

  • 5 to 10 years experience with full charge bookkeeping
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with Quick Books (all modules)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with basic office administration including HR duties and benefits
  • Great computer skills all MS Office applications and computer saavy overall
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great attention to detail
