Job Description
- Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures and special tests, and documenting treatment as required by company policy and local / state / federal rules and regulations.
- Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
- Assessing and evaluating patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Applying sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administering over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Directing and guiding ancillary personnel and maintaining standards of professional nursing.
