I am honored to serve as the medical director for Sound’s anesthesia practice at John Peter Smith Hospital, located in the vibrant city of Fort Worth, Texas.

I have been part of the team for the past three years and take great pride in the anesthesia program we have cultivated.

Our Team :

• We are a tightly knit and well-established team consisting of 20 physicians and 57 certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs).
• Our team reflects a rich tapestry of clinicians hailing from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds, each of whom relies on and learns from one another in our shared commitment to patient care.
• We foster close collaboration with our CRNA colleagues, ensuring that we collectively provide the highest standard of anesthesia care for the Fort Worth community.

Practice :

• Our hospital is a Level I trauma center that deals with high-risk obstetrics and cardiothoracic cases. We have 13 bustling operating rooms, handle interventional radiology cases with critically ill patients in the electrophysiology (EP) lab, and provide services in GI and obstetrics.
• Specialized chiefs oversee obstetrics, trauma, and cardiac care, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of expertise.
• We operate within the EPIC system and have access to our internal informatics platform.
• Compensation is guaranteed at $445,000, with the added incentive of a $25,000 quality bonus. Chief stipends are separate from the base salary, and we offer eight weeks of scheduled time off annually.
• Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability coverage, a 401k plan with a matching component, paid medical malpractice insurance, tail coverage, and an annual CME allowance.
• Our team enjoys high retention rates and collaboratively ensures coverage for time off.
