About the Role

This role plays a key part in our financial reporting and consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and the Company’s accounting principles.

You will work closely with international finance teams, conducting variance analysis, assisting in the monthly consolidation process, and presenting financial results to executive management.

Your responsibilities will also include performing monthly close procedures, reviewing work papers, identifying risks and opportunities for process improvements, and conducting accounting research and analysis.

This role requires a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

What You'll Do

Consolidate worldwide financial reporting to ensure accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Company principles by reviewing the financials results as submitted monthly by individual countries / subsidiaries & partnering with the local subsidiary’s Finance Director and their accounting teams.

Conduct monthly variance analysis for assigned countries.

Assist in the monthly consolidation process.

Record and post top-level journal entries as needed.

Perform routine monthly close procedures assigned by the manager.

Present monthly and quarterly financial results to executive management for assigned subsidiaries.

Review monthly work papers prepared by other team members.

Ensure proper documentation of monthly data and analysis.

Identify risks and escalate issues to management in a timely manner.

Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Review internal and external executive management reports and presentations to ensure accuracy and provide feedback on variances from expected results.

Conduct accounting research and analysis to provide guidance in accordance with US GAAP.

Establish and update the Company’s accounting policy in response to new accounting pronouncements.

Perform fraud detection testing and support external and internal audits through reports, analysis, and explanations.

Meet attendance and punctuality standards and perform additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Experience with industry exposure, inventory accounting, audit clients in distribution, inventory reserves, and AR reserves.

Prefer 4+ years of work experience, including 3+ years of Big 4 experience (Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), KPMG, or PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)) or 6+ years of applicable industry experience.

Education / Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred

Master’s degree in accounting or finance and CPA, CIA, or CFE license preferred

Working Conditions

Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
