Our client, a leader in the energy and commodity industry, is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Controls Engineer with extensive experience in SCADA systems and other related industrial controls applications.

This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation and integration of advanced control systems within their infrastructure.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and implement SCADA systems and other control applications, including alarm management applications, remote terminal units and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support operational needs.
  • Design and program custom .Net applications, HMI screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, and system interfaces.
  • Maintain SCADA system data access and configuration tools.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide support to gas controllers for system-related problems.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations departments to support the design and commissioning of telemetry sites.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including process maps, data flows, infrastructure diagrams, and installation / configuration procedures.
  • Provide on-call (24-hour) systems support on a rotating basis

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a system analyst or controls system engineer / developer
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and commissioning applications with strong problem-solving skills using IT systems.
  • Proficiency in developing solutions using VB, C#, .Net, Python, and SQL.
  • Ability in complex problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience supporting or working in a control room environment is preferred
