Do you take pride in turning raw bar into life-changing medical components? Imagine stepping up to a Star CNC Swiss lathe, loading material, and bringing a part from print to perfect—holding tight tolerances, verifying features against GD&T, and documenting every step for full traceability. That’s the craft you’ll practice here.
The challenge
- Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot Star CNC Swiss machines to produce precision medical implants.
- Control dimensions through smart offsets, tool changes, and parameter tweaks.
- Interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions to meet customer requirements.
- Measure what matters with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical comparators.
- Execute routine and daily preventive maintenance (P.M.) to maximize uptime.
- Record first-piece inspections, work orders, and maintenance logs without fail.
- Follow rigorous quality procedures including identification and traceability protocols.
- Team up with engineering and quality to elevate process capability and yield.
- Keep a spotless, safe, 5S-aligned work area.
What it takes
High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework preferred.1+ year reading blueprints.1+ year applying GD&T and checking tolerances with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.About 1 year CNC setup / operation preferred—but we will train entry-level machinists.Strong attention to detail and solid problem-solving instincts.Grow with us
