Overall Responsibility :
The Event Manager will be responsible for the development, management, and execution of events designated as field, regional, and national.
This will encompass all live, and virtual if applicable. This is a highly cross-functional role, both within the marketing function and the Sales Team at large.
The Event Manager will provide guidance to the global Sales Team to manage multiple events as planned for the benefit of enriching the relationship with Telarus Agents.
Additionally supporting by generating engagement with our partners while maintaining high standards of quality and a keen eye to efficiency, repeatability, and budget management.
Candidate needs to reside in the Eastern time zone.
Essential Functions :
- Event Management
- Source and procure venues, speakers, hotels, networking, food & beverage, other needed event items.
- Coordinate site inspections as needed.
- Vendor Management
- Manage and negotiate contracts for all vendors required for event in collaboration with management.
- Hotel, Meeting Space, Food & Beverage, AV, Music / Speakers, Transportation Services, Excursions, Sport Facilities, etc.
- Event Registration Management
- Create and manage virtual event registration process. Use tools such as Zoom and RingCentral to create and manage registrations.
- Create and manage onsite event registration process. Use Cvent to build and manage registration process.
- Work with Sales Team to secure invitee list & manage weekly RSVP reports.
- Work with Marketing Sponsorship Coordinator to ensure that Supplier Sponsors are identified, invoiced and registered for event.
- Event Budget Management
- Create budget, communicate event budget, manage event expenses, and reconcile budget after event.
- Work with Marketing Sponsorship Coordinator to build sponsorship documentation.
- Obtain Purchase Orders from Finance as needed for payment to vendors.
- Submit all invoices related to an event to Accounts Payable to Finance.
- Responsible for helping Marketing reach yearly OKR set around budget management.
- Ability to build budgets with justification and validated assumptions to explain marketing plan, impact, and ROI.
- Relationship Management
- Engage management as needed for event budget review and approval.
- Work with Marketing team to create event graphics & promote event on Social Media platforms using Monday.com.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Marketing Sponsorship Coordinator & Sales Team to identify and secure event sponsorship.
- Travel
- This job will require travel as required to attend and execute an event on site.
- Travel of one week or more per month may be required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :
- Creative and innovative with an ability to think and solve problems strategically.
- Experience with the channel and with an IT-focused end-user buyer is a plus.
- Ability to embrace change as the role evolves.
- Experience with Cvent, Monday.com, SalesForce, or Marketo is a plus.
Requirements :
- 2+ years of experience in the event management space.
- 1+ years B2B experience with preference given to Channel business or Enterprise & SMB focused B2B software / services experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage business and expense ROI on a full event program, including sponsor recruitment and MDF management for the event programs.
- Have collaborated effectively with a global Sales Team to achieve results - built deep relationships where you were a trusted partner in the full management of the events.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Passionate about Event Management.
- You must reside in the Eastern region.
