Sr. Director of Strategic Data

Position Summary

The Senior Director of Strategic Data, Biopharma Business Development is a key internal and external resource at Caris for multimodal RWD initiatives.

The Strategic Data Business Development professional leverages data across business lines to make a positive impact on partner initiatives that aim to bring new therapies to cancer patients.

Job Responsibilities

Identify key opportunities in the biopharma marketplace where Caris RWD is able to drive impact to our biopharma partners and cancer patients.

Develop unique contract solutions to meet partner needs and / or challenges.

Ability to develop strategies to support partners business initiatives from discovery through commercialization using multimodal RWD.

Collaborate internally with a cross-functional organization that support data initiatives including operations, alliance management, R&D, bioinformatics, legal and beyond.

Maintain a proactive approach to partner outreach, creative solutions, and out of the box thinking.

Manage external SDBU-related partnerships that lead to joint data solutions and offerings for biopharma (e.g., clinical data providers, digital pathology, AI, etc.)

Support product development, strategy, and evolution via conducting due diligences of potential data sources and partners and contextualizing market / customer feedback.

Hone processes for pre-sale SDBU operations in collaboration with internal teams

Map progress and strategic approach across multiple accounts as needed; present to senior leadership for feedback.

Job may require domestic and / or international travel up to 40% of the time as needed to meet business needs.

Required Qualifications

Experience and mapping multimodal datasets to biopharma pipelines and communicating the core value proposition of longitudinal multiomic datasets to a diverse set of customers.

Employ data to support other business lines including molecular profiling, discovery, CDx, etc.

Using Caris data, present RWD to internal and external stakeholders that magnify the impact that it can have on cancer patients as well as the therapies of tomorrow.

5+ years of experience working with companies in the life science sector (Pharmaceutical and / or biotechnology), real-world data experience is required.

3+ years of business development experience is required.

Advanced degree in a scientific discipline is required (PhD and / or MD / MBA. MS with substantial RWD experience will be considered)

Conditions of Employment : Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening and reference verification.

Other

This position requires periodic travel and some evenings, weekends and / or holidays.

Annual Hiring Range

$205,000 - $220,000

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and / or skill level.

The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
