Job Description and Duties

Will consider Staff Services Analyst

Produce PIO monthly and daily reports : Month Ahead Report, Week Ahead Report, media log and other reports as needed. Gather information from PIOs, Project Managers, and Construction Managers to analyze and synthesize major events, meetings, and progress of projects into Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reports for District Executives and upper management in Headquarters.

Maintain calendar of events and assist in preparation of Ribbon Cuttings and Groundbreakings and other major events. Assists the District Public Information Officers in event planning and support, researching and analyzing potential material for dissemination via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media.

Materials such as maps, detour routes, traffic delays, and road / ramp closures. Monitors social media content for misleading or incorrect information, and quickly responds to minimize impacts.

Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst / Staff Services Analyst exam.

Working Conditions

Position located at 111 Grand Avenue, Oakland, CA 94612. Alameda County

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’ current telework policy.

While Caltrans supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises.

The selected candidate may be required to conduct business travel on behalf of the Department or commute to the headquarter location.

Business travel reimbursements considers an employee's designated Headquarters location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations and applicable bargaining unit contract provisions.

All commute expenses to the headquarter location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Special Requirements

Possessionof a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leasedvehicle.

Must have knowledge of procurement and contract.

Familiarity with State purchasing regulations.

Ability to hold and maintain a Cal-Card.
