Verovian Nursing Agency seeks a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a team of healthcare professionals as the Director of Critical Care (ICU) in Round Rock, Texas.

As a Director of Critical Care ICU, RN , you oversee the operations, staff, and clinical performance of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the ICU department, including staffing, budgeting, and resource management.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ICU, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance patient outcomes.
• Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering a culture of professional growth, teamwork, and excellence.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided in the ICU, implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed.
• Serve as a liaison between the ICU department and other hospital departments, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
• Participate in performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in critical care nursing, incorporating best practices into departmental operations.

Candidate requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in critical care nursing, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in critical care nursing practices and procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
