About the Position
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our team in the 32-bed neuro-medical unit. This unit provides care for patients with various brain and nervous system disorders, including CVA, TIA's, Parkinson's disease, Seizures, Multiple sclerosis, and other neurological conditions.
In addition to neuro-medical patients, nurses will also care for general medical surgical patients. The unit includes 12 telemetry beds for patients requiring close cardiac and neurological monitoring.
Position Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide professional care
- Implement patient-family centered care principles
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patient care
- Partner with patients and families to develop care plans and teaching strategies
Qualifications
- Associate's in Nursing Required
- Bachelor's in Nursing Required within 5 years
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required upon hire
- Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
