JOB SUMMARY : The National Accounts Specialist is responsible for all operational functions needed to support a major national account. This position will be required to work cross-functionally within the company, as well as with customers, to ensure successful order creation, tracking and reporting. This position is instrumental in the day-to-day functions needed to support the Total Team in operating successfully. This will be an on-site, in-office position at our Des Moines, IA offices. Hours will be Monday – Friday 8 : 00 am – 4 : 30 pm with occasional overtime if necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • 3 Years of retail experience in merchandising, operations or management
  • 4 year degree in related field desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including advanced Microsoft Excel skills to include v-lookups and pivot tables
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to forecast problems and identify possible solutions
  • Understanding of products, distribution process and plan-o-grams

  • Responsible for the creation and tracking of Amazon Orders which includes :
  • Importing Amazon EDI batches

  • Editing the imported orders to reflect current stock issues.
  • Editing the orders within Amazon’s Vendor Central website to ensure Amazon’s POs reflect what we agree to fulfill.
  • Verifying pricing and order format.
  • Sending verified orders to the Distribution team for release and transfer to warehouse for shipment
  • Tracking shipments from order release to being fully received at Amazon’s facilities
  • Working with needed teams on any order, invoice or shipping discrepancies
  • Collaborate with distribution and warehouse teams to clearly communicate assemblies needed for stickering, bundling, and breakout projects
  • Properly set up chain information for customer to ensure all items reflect correct costs, item information, and allocation in Excell’s custom app prior to PO’s / launch dates
  • Responsible for various team reports which includes
  • Monthly, weekly, and daily sales reporting needed for the Target and internal teams

  • Vendor requested reports
  • All other reporting requested from the Directors to support the business
  • Support Director of National Accounts with information needed on Credit and Debit Memos on all promotional items including :
  • Running sales during the given promotional period on all included items

  • Completing needed credit / debit memos and submitting to the accounting department and vendors for credit / chargebacks
  • Working with Target team to ensure all DPCI and sales information is properly submitted
  • Provide back up support to the Item Data Specialist as needed
  • Item set up in retailers systems to acquire item #’s

  • All needed data properly inputted into Excell’s programs to ensure
  • Item maintenance : retail and cost updates, subclass changes, dimension update and any other maintenance needed to ensure item is reflected correctly

  • Attend weekly meetings as necessary – production, planogram, shipping.

  • ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS : The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking and standing functions. The position also requires frequent repetitive motion activities. Must be able to read print and computer based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted in a temperature controlled environment with occasional exposure to hot and cold temperature.

    INTELLECTUAL / EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS : The occupant of this position must be a problem solver and independent thinker and be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires critical thinking and strategic planning skills. This position requires the ability to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others. It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities on a daily basis while being responsive to needs as they arise
