Role Description Our innovation and value-driven organization is seeking to hire a Senior Research Associate with industry experience, to join our rapidly growing Process Development team.
This candidate should have extensive knowledge of aseptic cell culture techniques and stem cell biology. Having some experience in immunology and or stem cell differentiation is preferred .
This position requires the candidate to have a fast-paced mindset, as this position requires quick thinking and problem-solving techniques.
This position requires the candidate to be responsible for executing independent projects that will contribute to milestone-based plans.
Responsibilities include experimental planning, data analysis, and qualitative interpretation of the data for planning next steps.
Experience in running multicolour flow cytometry and or PCR is required. This candidate should be proficient in ELN maintenance.
This role involves working closely with the others in the process development team under the guidance of senior members.
Projects include development of improved differentiation protocol, cell specific assay, and scalable processes. This role will involve close collaboration with the in-vivo team, interpretation of relevant literature, and applying it to our process.
Our research focus is on tissue and organ generation. To assist with this goal, candidates will coordinate laboratory activities and undertake quality assurance programs.
As a part of our research team, they will help to identify markers and evaluate the safety and efficacy of cell profiles for immunotherapy.
Key Responsibilities Support studies incorporating cells in biomaterial to evaluate cell response and survival in vitro Maintain s tem cell , stem cell derived, and primary tissue cultures in a variety of experimental conditions;
monitor cell cultures for viability and contamination. Independently conduct molecular biology procedures, such as FACS, biomarker screening, conventional PCR, real time PCR, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining.
Support in vivo work by preparing differentiated cells for transplantation. Participate in the design and modification / troubleshooting of research protocols.
A nalyze data using statistical techniques Maintain tissue culture and molecular biology supplies and reagents and help order new supplies and minor equipment.
Coordinate laboratory compliance and procedures in the areas of safety, environmental, and infection control. Supervise the orientation and training of new laboratory staff and interns.
Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor with 2+ years of experience or Masters with 1+ years of experience of science required for Senior Research Associate role, ideally in fields such as iPS-based regenerative medicine, biomaterial and bioengineering or related discipline.
Experience with PCR and flow cytometry preferred. Proficiency w ith Aseptic tissue culture techniques a must. Experience with biomaterials is favorable.
High degree of computer literacy, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of ELN maintenance Must be able to structure tasks and set priorities logically and effectively. Highly motivated and able to perform experiments independently Ability to identify potential problems and troubleshoot solutions.
Ability to analyze data statistically and present it. Must have a broad knowledge of scientific principles, biological structures, and laboratory techniques.
