PROJECT COORDINATOR

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Number of Positions : 1

Starting Salary : $71,004; Grade B-14

This position is open to the public and all current city employees covered under the City's Collective Bargaining Agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4 & 5.

Only employees in City job titles in this bargaining unit are eligible to bid.

The position will work closely with the Clean Transportation Program Director in the Division of Citywide Services to develop policies, projects, and programs supporting the City's efforts to prepare for the significant shift to electrified transportation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Supports CDOT's funding programs to help deploy electric commercial fleets and community public charging stations, prioritizing benefits to overburdened communities

Researches and applies for grants for transportation electrification programs to reduce harmful emissions

Oversees dissemination of grant funds, and monitors, tracks, and reports on the status of grant funds utilization

Participates in national and local networks to stay informed on latest funding programs and best practices in successful program development

Participates in public engagement to co-design beneficial projects

Additional duties may be required for this position

Hours : 8 : 30 am - 4 : 30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning or a related field, supplemented by three years of experience in program administration, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires an applicant to successfully complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following :

Previous experience promoting or deploying clean transportation fuels and vehicles, such as electric vehicles or charging stations

Department of Human Resource staff will review applications after the final posting date. Staff will follow any and all required Employment / Hiring Plan provisions, federal, state and local laws, and Collective Bargaining Agreements when applicable.
