The Impact Business Analyst Intern will support McKesson’s Global Impact Organization (GIO) Impact Strategy & Operations team, diving deep into the world of ESG (Environmental Social, and Governance) data strategies.
You’ll get hands-on experience collecting and analyzing ESG data, and you’ll play a key role in supporting our ESG disclosure efforts.
This role involves collecting sustainability and ESG data, conducting analyses, and supporting external reporting strategies.
You will assist in developing and strengthening our ESG response processes, tracking and responding to information requests from investors, customers and other stakeholders, and managing rating and ranking surveys.
Duties and Responsibilities :
What You’ll Do
- Data Collection : Assists in collecting enterprise-wide ESG data and supporting documentation for external and internal reporting needs.
- Collaboration : Works with cross-functional partners across the organization to maintain a database of key data inputs needed to support external reporting, stakeholder request, and senior leadership / Board engagement
- Survey Management : Help manage the completion of stakeholder rating / ranking surveys
- Impact Report : Supports the disclosure strategy & reporting needs following the completion of McKesson’s annual Impact Report
- Data Analysis : Compare and contrast data requirements for various stakeholder surveys. Identify data gaps, improve reporting, and recommend enhanced data collection processes.
- Research and Benchmarking : Conduct research and peer benchmarking to support goal setting and strategic planning
- Trend Monitoring : Monitor emerging issues and trends within the ESG landscape, reporting findings to leadership to help improve decision-making

Critical Skills : Masters 1st or 2nd Year
- Currently pursuing a secondary degree or equivalent relevant course work in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Environmental Policy, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel (high proficiency preferred)
- Strong ability to conduct research and analyze data
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Power BI
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and documentation
Preferred Qualifications :
- Proficient with project management tools, such as Smartsheet
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and timelines at once
- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks like GRI, CDP, SASB, and TCFD is beneficial
