Century Group is excited share a great opportunity for a Staff / Senior Accountant to join our client in the consumer products industry.
This is a GL accounting role, with a heavy focus on SG&A, revenue, receivables and Accounts Payable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
Expected starting base salary $41 to $44 per hour.
Job Description :
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process for areas, as assigned
- Prepare various reconciliations and analysis of account activity, prepare budget and forecast analysis.
- Provide support for the annual financial statement audit
- Improve and document general processes for assigned areas
- Participate and support implementation of accounting systems infrastructure
- Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed
- Support AP / T&E and reconcile AP aging
- Assist with requests from operations and budgeting teams
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
Requirements :
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required
- CPA and / or audit firm experience preferred
- 4+ years of accounting work experience required
- Strong working knowledge of Excel - pivot tables, v lookup, sum if, etc.
- Prior experience with SAP preferred
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
