We are looking for a new Facility Maintenance Technician to join our growing Maintenance Team and Fulfillment Center network. This individual will report into our Maintenance Supervisor and i s responsible for the upkeep, installation and repair of a variety of mechanical systems, machinery and equipment within the SupplyHouse fulfillment center. The maintenance mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring that machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and supporting overall operations. ​

Job Type :   Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Location :   290,000 sq. ft. in Columbus, OH at 3840 Lockbourne Industrial Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43207

New Location : 525,000 sq. ft. in Columbus, OH at 6085 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43110 (Opening this March)

Schedule :   Monday through Friday, from 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm EST

Base Salary :  $25.50 per hour (paid weekly)

Responsibilities :

Perform routine inspections, service and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to prevent problems before they arise

  • This includes following preventative maintenance schedules, checking for signs of malfunction and making necessary adjustments ​

​ Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime

  • This involves observing equipment in operation, using diagnostic tools and dismantling or replacing parts as needed ​
  • Install and assemble new machinery and equipment ​
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used and equipment status ​
  • ​ Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe and organized work environment ​
  • ​ Respond to emergency repair requests and work overtime as needed ​
  • ​ Assist and train junior maintenance personnel ​
  • ​ Provide technical assistance and information to other team members ​
  • Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ​ Vocational school, on-job-training or apprenticeship experience
  • ​ A strong understanding of machinery and mechanical systems including electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
  • ​ Proficiency in using hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment
  • ​ Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical issues efficiently ​ ​
  • Ability to push and pull objects up to 60 pounds of force independently

  • Employees are expected to seek help or use appropriate equipment to ensure safety for any task involving pushing or pulling that exceeds 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8-10 hours and up to 20,000 steps per day
