Position Overview As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily lives.
You’ll provide assistance with personal care, daily living skills, community involvement, and recreational activities—all while encouraging independence and self-advocacy.
Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities (meal prep, personal hygiene, household tasks).
Support individuals in engaging with community activities, employment, and social opportunities.
Implement and follow individualized support plans.
Document services and progress as required.
Ensure health, safety, and dignity of each individual supported.
Provide transportation, as needed, for appointments or community outings.
Qualifications Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass background checks and required training.
Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
Experience in caregiving, social services, or working with individuals with disabilities (preferred, but not required—training provided).
