Job Description
This position is a first-line manager of Electrical Subsystems with Lockheed Martin's historic Skunk Works Advanced Development Programs division.
The position will report to the Palmdale Vehicle Systems Sr. Manager within the Vehicle Systems directorate. Primary responsibility for all aspects of staffing to ADP programs in the disciplines of electrical power systems, electrical systems analysis, design and support.
Role requires defining staffing needs, selecting and assigning personnel to meet program needs, recruitment and selection of new employees, and terminations.
Responsible for personnel management including training, mentoring, career development, performance and compensation, and promotions.
- The candidate will be responsible for staff recruitment, performance management, manpower planning, and personnel development and recognition.
- The candidate will make work assignments, coach and mentor team members, and support the development of the Electrical Power Systems competency.
- Manager responsibilities will account for 50% of the candidate’s time. The remaining 50% will focus on execution of technical work within the Electrical Power Systems competency within Advanced Development Programs.
Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must possess Secret Security Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.

Desired skills
- At least 13 years’ experience with Electrical Power Systems
- Experience developing electrical subsystem architectures
- Experience performing electrical loads analysis.
- Experienced in architecting vehicle power distribution system.
- Experience with other aircraft systems
- Experience trouble shooting electrical systems.
- Experience with overseeing hardware suppliers
- Experience with either Capital, Mentor Graphics, or Harness design tool.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
