- Medical Assistants provide non-licensed medical support to medical care providers in an outpatient setting. Incumbents room patents;
- set up equipment and instruments; independently perform, and / or assist providers with performing, exams and procedures, including administering injections;
- with proper provider authorization, provide instructions, training and advice to patients; call in prescriptions; clean and calibrate equipment;
clean and stock exam rooms; and provide proper documentation in patient chart. Incumbents may also provide front office services on a routine or back-up basis.
