Position Summary :
Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Per Diem Rehabilitation Services team . The Physical Therapist provides comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments to patients with functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function due to injury, illness, or surgery. The PT works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to promote optimal patient recovery and mobility.
Key Responsibilities :
Evaluate and assess patients functional mobility, strength, balance, and range of motion.
Develop individualized treatment plans to restore or improve physical function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
Provide direct physical therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders and established care plans.
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.
Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in the EMR.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive rehabilitation care.
Maintain compliance with all state practice regulations, hospital policies, and ethical standards.
Qualifications (Legally Required) :
Active California Physical Therapist (PT) License required
BLS (AHA) certification required
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required
Minimum 2 years of recent acute or inpatient rehab experience required per company policy
