Responsible for providing Health Information Management support to providers, staff, and patients. Responsible for analyzing and monitoring discharged patient records to ensure timely completion of medical record documentation.
Responsible for monitoring account work queues to support timely Coding and Billing. Works closely with the Medical Staff office to ensure accuracy with provider administration.
Performs quality control and audits for the electronic health record (EHR). Produces hospital and HIM statistics. Supports transcription access, training and processing.
Qualifications :
- High school or equivalent required; Associates of Arts degree in Health Information preferred. Medical terminology coursework required.
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or eligible to sit for the exam preferred.
- Six months prior medical record experience required.
- In addition to the above, requires a minimum of 6 months year prior lead or supervisory experience or equivalent, preferably in a Medical Record department.
