The ER Nurse is a professional Registered nurse who is accountable for the delivery of quality care to patients with varied diagnoses in our 13 bed, fast-paced Emergency Room. This includes :
- Assessing, coordinating and participating in the care and teaching for patients
- Ensuring that patient care is delivered in collaboration with the patient, family members, physicians, peers and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice in the clinical setting and responsibility for creating exceptional patient / family experiences during the delivery of this care
- Competency in caring for acute stroke, cardiac, pediatrics, geriatrics and trauma patients.

Requirements :
- RN program completion required; BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred
- Current licensure in the State of Maine as a Registered Nurse or Compact Licensure. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- 1-2 years nursing experience in practice setting
- BLS required; ACLS required; PALS preferred; TNCC preferred; MOAB or equivalent training preferred
