The Red Gate Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Systems Analyst to support the Financial Management Directorate at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA.
In this critical role, you will work with the FM Business Solutions Office (FMZ) to enhance the efficiency and functionality of the Geospatial Intelligence Financial (GEO-F) system, leading the implementation of process improvements for managing and analyzing financial data.
Your expertise in financial systems, data management, and process optimization will directly contribute to NGA's financial operations and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities : Collaborate with the Financial Management Directorate to assess, improve, and implement solutions for financial data management and analysis across NGA.
Lead research efforts, stakeholder interviews, and the translation of operational requirements into technical specifications.
Develop solutions using advanced Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SQL, SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and Excel.Support the GEO-F system by troubleshooting existing functionality, implementing enhancements, and ensuring seamless system integration.
Participate in technical exchange meetings, requirement reviews, and program management reviews to resolve architectural and policy challenges.
Monitor program resource allocations and provide financial advice to NGA leadership.Coordinate financial data uploads and develop enhancements to the financial business system.
Active TS / SCI clearance, CI poly preferredPossess a Bachelor's degree or higher in a business-related field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, Computer Science, Economics.
12 years of total experience in assessing federal financial business processes, developing financial systems options, and implementing system solution to include demonstrated experience with federal financial management including all aspects of programming, planning, budgeting, execution and / or accounting.
In addition to above, specialized demonstrated experience in the following criteria (total 8 years)At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in executing or writing advanced Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts for testing and executionAt least 2 years of demonstrated experience in identifying system options and business process recommendations to improve business processes through coordinating with many stakeholder group OR demonstrated experience with system software development activities that may include requirements definition, process mapping, configuration management, and system testing supporting Momentum-based financial systems.
At least 2 years of demonstrated experience communicating technical issues and working knowledge of United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) in accordance with treasury guidelinesAt least 2 years demonstrated experience in supporting Momentum-based financial systems implementation, upgrades and enhancementsDesired Skills & QualificationsAt least 3 years of demonstrated experience with system software development activities that may include requirements definition, process mapping, configuration management, testing, and user support.
At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in financial programming, planning, budgeting, execution and / or accounting in Momentum based applicationAt least 3 years of demonstrated experience with NGA's business processes and key financial data and reportsAt least 3 years of demonstrated experience with system administration functions related to Momentum financials.
