Summary :
A Registered Professional Dialysis Nurse is responsiblefor the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment,diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
This positionparticipates in the development and implementation ofindividualized and comprehensive plan of care for each patient,provides direct and indirect care to patients as it relates totheir dialysis treatment, including pre- and post-assessments, andadministrations of medications during dialysis.
In addition, theRegistered Professional Dialysis Nurse operates all dialysisequipment and supplies in accordance with hospital and departmentalpolicy to provide expected patient outcome and documents in themedical record accordingly.

Requirements :
- Graduate of a Registered Nursingprogram, Bachelor Degree preferred
- Excellentcustomer service, negotiation and communicationskills
- At least 6 months dialysis experiencepreferred
- 12 months acute clinicalexperience as a Registered Nurserequired
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU), CriticalCare Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (MedSurg) experience is preferred
- Clinical patientcare experience in a relevant setting,preferred
- Previous healthcare managementexperience, preferred
- AdditionalInformation
- RN license in good standing instate of employment or a compact state , if applicable
- Registered Nurse (RN)required
- American Heart Association Basic LifeSupport
- Certification in Nephrology Nursingpreferred
- Licenses, Registrations, orCertifications (include all that are on the RN JD plusthese) :
- A Hemodialysis Knowledge Exam- withintwelve (12) weeks of employment
- Certification in Nephrology Nursingpreferred, required within 1 year of eligibility to take theexam
