Job Description :
At Fidelity Enterprise Architecture (FEA), we are seeking an experienced User Experience Architect to drive end-to-end architecture for the Brokerage business domain.
In this role, you will work directly with product teams across the retail investing space (brokerage accounts, managed services, banking services, etc.
and the workplace investing space (401ks, health-insurance related accounts, etc.) to design solutions that meet business priorities and initiatives.
What you will be responsible for..
This role will be a very hands-on role driving the overall technical and experience architecture of fidelity.com, both pre and post login.
You will be directly responsible for all aspects of the web platform! You will collaboratively work across other product areas and multiple business units influencing to ensure the new web platform can be shared and consumed with all parts of the company.
In general, we are looking for a solid User Experience Architect that can lead and drive the end-to-end architecture of multiple teams in a complex space.
The Expertise we're looking for...
The following is a selection of skills (but not a hard list of requirements) that will help you thrive in this role :
- Proven experience in architecture , including scalability, resilience, security, and data architecture.
- Experienced in engineering web and / or mobile applications end to end, with a focus on customer experience, scale, security, and performance.
Technologies skills include :
- Native and hybrid Android & iOS app development
- Angular / React (we use Angular) Web development
- Proficient in principles of API design and it's applications
- Experience with enterprise API implementation, using REST and GraphQL federation
- Ability to break down user interfaces into smaller reusable pieces and large-scale migrations
- Experience with reactive and functional programming concepts.
- Experience building highly scalable architecture to support Omnichannel experience platforms
- NX generator, executor creation, and dependency graphs within NX monorepos
Organizational Vision & Culture Champion :
In addition to your amazing technology skills we are looking for soft skills as well that can make you shine in this role :
- Face off with our SVPs around the business, product and engineering customers, and make sure we are :
- Addressing their biggest and most strategic problems
- Propose solutions that are very specific and don't leave a lot of opportunities for swirl or things that can trip them up during delivery
- Ensure customers understand the solutions we are proposing
- Ensure customers buy into the solutions
- Work with SVP and VP level product and engineering leaders to understand requirements and nail down solutions alternatives.
- Work with engineers to understand their context, propose solutions that work for them and improve the solution with their feedback.
- Roll up their sleeves to write some POCs as needed to ground their proposals.
