Position Description : This position will be involved in fund accounting, financial reporting, and operations for Blackstone Real Estate Partners funds ( BREP ) and its underlying investments.

Specific Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the funds’ quarterly close process and reporting to the public company.
- Oversee and manage the funds’ quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements.
- Review work paper supporting schedules for financial statement accounts.
- Coordinate with both internal and external auditors with all aspects of the annual audit and SOX 404 compliance.
- Oversee the maintenance and review of the waterfall system data for management fee, contribution and distribution calculations.
- Responsible for the review of investor management fee, contribution and distribution notices.
- Review fund legal documents, manage new fund / separately managed account launches, and manage the prompt response to investors’ requests.
- Review vendor expenses and expense allocations across funds.
- Responsible for the development and training of junior team members globally.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Operations, Investor Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Valuations and Legal and Compliance.
- Liaise with our dedicated technology teams to drive process change and improvements across the finance teams.
Qualifications : Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
- BS (or above) in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA and / or CFA preferred.
- 12+ years of private equity fund accounting, Big 4, or fund administrator experience.
- Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving ability, and ability to work with various levels of management.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects.
- Detail oriented, highly organized and possess a strong work ethic; ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments;
strong time management skills.

Expected annual base salary range : $155,000 - $200,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation : Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
