STUDENT ASSISTANT-R&D - IT Generalist Intern

Who We Are :

Information Systems section responsible for managing the information technology infrastructure across the Powertrain Engineering division.

Technologies include virtualization, mass storage, endpoint deployment, server administration, and systems security.

Objectives of this Role :

• To provide opportunities to develop individuals in the areas of information technology and cyber security.
• Obtain critical resources to support urgent division IS initiatives.
• Collaborate with Division personnel the to develop new skills and opportunities for career progression.
• Summer 2024 Student Program.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities :

• Inventory of existing IS equipment and assets in accordance with SwRI policy.
• Provide level 1 helpdesk support and triage user issues.
• Support ongoing internal IS projects such as data migration project.
• Provide assistance with end user mobile devices.

Requirements :

• Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Information Systems.
• 0 years : Prior level 1 help desk support experience.
• General computer knowledge, including peripherals such as printers, keyboards, mice, USB devices.
• General customer service experience or working with the public.
• General knowledge if Windows operating system.
• A valid / clear driver's license is required.
