Smart Source is seeking a Driver for a 4-month contract to hire opportunity that is 100% on site in Tukwila WA.
Position Summary
- As a driver you will either be working in the warehouse or on route performing drop offs at client locations.
- While in warehouse your responsibilities will be as follows :
- Working as part of the receiving team you will taking inventory of assets, tagging equipment with asset tags, working through IT recycling, and performing additional standard warehouse duties
While driving your responsibilities will be as follows :
- Working with a helper and driving a 26-foot company provided box truck you will be performing pickups at a client location in Redmond, WA, will drive the loaded truck back to the main HQ and help unload the truck
- To be successful this driver will be working in a quick paced environment and demonstrate a willingness to accept and drive innovation and process improvements.
This driver will take direction from on-site lead and should feel comfortable working alone or in a team
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum 1 year of experience driving a 26-foot box truck
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to effectively work individually or within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
- Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
- Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work Monday Friday and be available for overtime and weekends as needed
- Must have valid driver's license and clean DMV record.
- Must meet and maintain the Motor Vehicle Requirements, to be audited annually
- Must be able to pass DOT screenings and regulations including but not limited to; minimum age of 21 years old, DOT Road Test, Physical and Drug Test
- For new hires, must meet all employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful passing of background check and drug test (including Marijuana)
