IT Specialist (Multiple Opportunities) - China Lake

JT4, LLC China Lake is seeking an entry level professional who is knowledgeable with computers and has a budding passion for IT

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and a keen attention to detail

A strong candidate will have obtained or be in the process of obtaining the CompTIA Security+ certification

This role will require the ability to work hand in hand with junior and senior level Systems Administrators and Information Systems Security Specialists, working with IT documents, data preparation and control and assisting with technical support

JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S

Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II

We develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapon's systems and air crews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges

This position is located at China Lake and is not eligible for telework

An ideal candidate will have current Secret clearance and must be Top Secret eligible

JOB SUMMARY

Essential Functions / Duties Under general supervision of a senior work unit IT Specialist or Supervisor, performs a variety of IT duties

Employee will be responsible for the following functions / duties :

• Researches, logs, and tracks service requests, technical reports, metrics data and other technical information
• Performs follow-up support for service requests
• Creates technical documents and reports, prepares graphical presentations, and coordinates data collection efforts
• Provides data entry support for specified projects using relational databases
• Performs First Tier analysis and problem resolution
• Performs other related duties as directed

Other Responsibilities Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job

Working Conditions Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to (20) pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech / hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning / organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines

Requirements Education, Technical, and Work Experience High School graduate or GED equivalent

Completion of one year of academic training at a college or vocational school

One year of related experience may substitute for academic training

In addition, an IT Specialist I must possess the following qualifications :

• Effective interpersonal skills
• Written and oral communication skills must be sufficient to express ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Must be able to work both independently and as a team member with willingness to work within structured guidelines
• Must be able to qualify for and maintain a government security clearance
• Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license

Salary The expected pay range for this position is $44,844.80 to $51,563.20 annually

The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay
