LaSalle Network has partnered with a healthcare provider in Flat Rock, NC, in their search for a Medical Customer Service Representative to join their team.
As a Medical Customer Service Representative , you will serve as the first point of contact for our client’s patients, providing exemplary customer service and support.
You will play a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
Medical Customer Service Representative Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, families and caregivers, both in person and over the phone
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, medical services, billing and insurance coverage
- Schedule patient appointments, procedures and follow-up visits, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information, updating records as needed
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documents, providing guidance and support as required
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to address patient concerns and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Medical Customer Service Representative Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification and scheduling procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families and colleagues
- Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
