Envestnet is seeking a passionate and talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology team. This position is expected to report to either our Berwyn, PA or Raleigh, NC office.

Job Summary :

As a Senior Software Engineer on the team, you are passionate about collaboratively building high quality software. You adopt a modern approach to building and monitoring new features and services, while also maintaining and advancing existing solutions.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong appetite for learning quickly, with the ability to analyze both functional and performance issues to determine root causes.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and deployment of successful software with a self-organizing Scrum team following best practices in SCRUM process.
  • Exercise best practices and company standards for software design, development, and documentation.
  • Support largescale and complex development projects by functionally decomposing complex problems into well-defined, executable tasks.
  • Complete individual and team commitments within the time / complexity estimates.
  • Effectively partner with team members and internal / external stakeholders to meet project deliverables and may lead projects.
  • Help to guide junior engineers in design techniques, and ensuring initial schematics match customer preferences.
  • Work cross-functionally to enhance stakeholder knowledge.
  • Adhere to and apply Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • Understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Extensive experience collaborating in an agile development environment.
  • Experience with modern web application design.
  • Programming experience in a modern language like C#, .NET, NuGet, and GIT and object-oriented design.
  • Understanding of SQL and relational database best practices inexperience in investing / trading and the fintech industry preferred.
  • Experience working with microservice and APIs.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
