Social Studies Teacher
Description :
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our school as a Social Studies Teacher for grades 9-12. This role requires instructional expertise and strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage classroom teaching and support student success.
Teaching Responsibilities :
- Teach a variety of Social Studies subjects in a hybrid classroom setting.
- Utilize a learning management software (LMS) and provide teacher-led instruction.
- Develop lesson plans based on the LMS curriculum and supplement with additional instructional materials.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Perform interventions and provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
- Foster an engaging learning environment that promotes student success.
Qualifications :
- Valid teaching certificate in Social Studies.
- Proven ability to create positive relationships with students and staff.
- Strong classroom management and disciplinary skills.
- Experience with hybrid teaching and familiarity with learning management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the school administration and staff.
Preferred Skills and Attributes :
- Experience in an alternative high school education setting.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive school culture.
- Ability to adapt to various teaching methods and strategies to meet student needs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
