Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the month and end-year process, accounts payable / receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, account reconciliations, check runs, and fixed asset activity.
Additionally, the Controller will establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, implement a system of internal controls to ensure compliance, and oversee standard costing for produced goods.
This role includes monitoring and analyzing accounting data to produce financial reports or statements compliant with US GAAP, preparing business activity KPI reports, cash flow reports, revenue / expenditure variance reports, and communicating significant findings and budget differences to the CFO and management.
The Controller will also provide financial analysis with an emphasis on cost and pricing decisions, support the CFO in preparing financial forecasts and annual budgets, recommend benchmarks to measure company performance, work with external auditors, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
