Description

We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Dearborn, Michigan. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage and optimize IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities :

Administer and troubleshoot on-premises network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.

Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user and group lifecycle, group policy enforcement, and organizational unit design.

Deploy, patch, and support Windows Server environments and Windows 10 / 11 workstations.

Provide IT desktop troubleshooting support, including enrollment, configuration profiles, and issue resolution.

Configure and manage mobile device management solutions for iOS and Android platforms.

Provision and oversee virtual machines, storage, and networking in AWS and Azure environments.

Monitor and maintain cloud resource usage and enforce security best practices.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to align infrastructure with application build and testing pipelines.

Handle Tier 2 / 3 escalation support, perform root cause analysis, and apply long-term solutions for recurring issues.

Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and maintain detailed runbooks.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in network administration, including VLANs, VPNs, and IP configurations.

Proficiency in managing Active Directory, group policies, and Windows Server environments.

Hands-on experience with macOS troubleshooting and mobile device management tools such as Intune or Jamf.

Experience with AWS or Azure, including provisioning virtual machines and configuring networking.

Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.

Basic scripting or automation skills using tools like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.

Up to 20% travel, must have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
