Job Summary

Under the direction of the Associate Director, Budget Data Management, provide technical and operational support for all budget processes.

Facilitate and support key projects / initiatives related to fund management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), including support for system updates and trainings.

Ensure data integrity and compliance and maintenance of data structures to ensure reliability, efficiency, and confidentiality of data.

Create queries and reports. Manage the operating funds for countywide operations. Manage the annual financial reporting process.

Work with internal and interdepartmental teams to ensure technology is used to drive efficiency, improve service, and provide a desired user experience.

Provide technical expertise to develop and implement business process related projects. Provide guidance for others in budget processing and delegate work, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree is required and
  • Five (5) years of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems or directly related experience is required or
  • An equivalent combination of education and / or experience is required.

Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other Characteristics

Understanding of payroll, finance, and associated business processes as well as interdepartmental dependencies. Knowledge of query and report development for ERP systems.

Skill in complex report generation using enterprise report writing tools. Skill in interfacing, extracting, and manipulating information pertaining to business systems applications and skill in analyzing budget requests by account to prepare preliminary departmental budgets.

Skill in critical thinking and analysis. Ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze issues. Ability to delegate work and provide subject matter expertise to team members addressing complex analytical and technical challenges.

Skill in executing mastery level data collection, synthesis, analysis, reporting, and development of recommendations to support functional area(s), where analysis requires use of ingenuity or creativity.

Ability to work independently, make recommendations, and collaborate with team members, leadership, and stakeholders to drive accuracy and precision in analysis.

Knowledge of non-standard and complex analytical practices to independently perform advanced studies on problems that may be undefined, often recommending new methods.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
