Controls Engineer III - 3rd Shift
Inside the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer III to join our team for third-shift operations. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our manufacturing processes, particularly in troubleshooting production issues for third shift at C2 plant.

Position offers a starting salary range of $98,500 - $126,000
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to PLC, AGV, robots, VFDs, conveyor lines in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency.
Possess extensive hands-on experience with full-time exposure to a fast-paced shop floor environment.
Troubleshoot and support welding equipment, paint equipment, glue delivery systems.
Provide technical support for Shopfloor Cyber Security related tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance technicians, production supervisors, and operators to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technicians in troubleshooting and maintaining control systems.
Document troubleshooting procedures, maintenance activities, and system modifications accurately for future reference.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, AND 6 years of related working experience OR 8 years of related working experience in lieu of degree
Proficient with Allan Bradly PLC controls and related software
Proficient with Fanuc robot
Team player, detail oriented, excellent root cause analysis ability and problem-solving skills
Extensive knowledge in manufacturing equipment hardware and software design practices & standards (i.e. PLC's, HMI's, AGV's, servo systems, safety scanners, Fabrication presses etc.)
Knowledge of electrical codes & standards
Knowledge of safety codes and standards
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and testing equipment
Proficient with electrical wiring
Proficient with PC hardware and commercially available software
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
Knowledge of fluid systems (pneumatic, hydraulic and lubrication)
Knowledge of SCADA systems, motion control systems
