About The Position
Job Title : Physical Therapist Job Specialty : Outpatient Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day, Flexible Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum years of experience required License : State license in Physical Therapy required;
Compact License acceptable as per PT Compact agreement Certifications : Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, BLS (AHA or ARC) required Must-Have : Necessary skills related to physical therapy, documentation ability, and communication proficiency Job Description : Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer programs of Physical Therapy.
- Plan and conduct Physical Therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability, and enhance patients' physical and functional abilities.
- Evaluate patients, select, and administer assessment techniques to establish a comprehensive patient care plan, including necessary modalities, procedures, exercise programs, therapeutic groups, and patient education.
- Gather and interpret appropriate data from medical records, physician reports, patients, and / or family.- Establish functional goals in conjunction with the patient and provide evidence-based interventions to work towards meeting these goals with ongoing assessment to adjust the plan of care as needed.
- Document evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, attendance records, patient / family education, outcomes, discharge notes, and charges as required.
- Communicate patients' evaluation and progress to physicians, referral sources, and other clinical staff; coordinate patients' schedules and treatment programs;
manage discharge planning.- Provide supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants and Rehab Tech / Aide as mandated by licensure.
- Engage in a fast-paced clinical environment primarily indoors but occasionally outdoors, with personal protective equipment use as necessary due to exposure to potential hazardous chemicals or bodily fluids.
- Maintain physical requirements including adequate hearing and vision for communication, intelligible speech for job duties, ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally require climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, bending, crouching, crawling, and reaching overhead.
- Demonstrate appropriate exercises and activities to patients / caregivers when needed.
