About The Team

We have built an Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) team to transform and optimize the way Workday builds and shares trusted data to drive insights and data-led innovation across the enterprise.

One of the key organizational principles of the group is the treatment of data and analytical assets as products with an agile methodology to support their continued development.

Each data product will have a dedicated cross-functional Fusion Team to drive data onboarding, security, discovery, transformation, and analytics to create new value in line with the business priorities.

Join our team as we strive to deliver exciting new user-centered, predictive, and prescriptive reporting analytics at Workday!

About The Role

As a Principal Business Systems Analyst (BSA) and member of the ED&A team, you will partner with Product Owners, Analytics / Data Engineers, and key business partners to craft, implement and lead enterprise data products.

  • Use Agile release planning tools such as Jira and diagramming tools such as Miro to develop artifacts and to provide inputs on scope, use cases, workflows, wire-frames, product requirements, acceptance criteria and other materials as needed to support technical design, development and QA activities.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Analytics Developers to refine solution definition and make trade-off decisions when vital.
  • Drive sign-off of data model and technical specification to ensure that developed solutions will meet business requirements and use case scenarios.
  • Maintain a high-level familiarity with other IT system / business application capabilities and scope definition in order to make recommendations regarding upstream / downstream integration or functionality intersection points.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds : in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work.

We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role).

This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together.

Those in our remote 'home office' roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.

Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!
