FIRMWIDE STRATEGY AND INVESTOR RELATIONS
The Firmwide Strategy and Investor Relations team drives progress on the firm's strategic priorities by working with business leadership to source, evaluate, and execute organic and inorganic strategic initiatives, in order to better serve our clients and deliver value for our shareholders.
We work closely with senior leadership to shape the firm's external engagement with equity and debt investors, research analysts, rating agencies, credit counterparties and ESG-focused stakeholders.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
- Equity / Fixed Income / ESG Investor Relations and Rating Agency Coverage : Engage with current and prospective investors, research analysts, credit counterparties, ESG-focused stakeholders, and rating agencies
- Shareholder Engagement Strategy : Drive strategy for how we engage with existing shareholders and how we proactively target new shareholders, in order to maximize interactions with them
- Business Coverage : Partner with business leadership to help drive progress on the firm's strategic priorities and better engage with our external stakeholders
- Corporate Development : Evaluate and execute strategic opportunities across the range of tools available to us, from M&A to strategic investing, to organic growth initiatives
ROLE DESCRIPTION
- The role will provide exposure to the breadth and complexity of activities at Goldman Sachs, and will require sustained interaction with senior business and firm leadership
- On any given day, work could include supporting a transformational growth initiative for the firm, communicating our strategy to key shareholders or other external stakeholders, assessing investment opportunities, preparing senior leadership for public events, and more
- The role involves heavy analytical and quantitative skills, but also communication and interpersonal skills
DESIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- Strong financial modelling skills, with a high level of Excel proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Confidence and ability to interact effectively with senior firm leadership
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines
- Strong knowledge of and interest in capital markets and the financial services industry
- Ability to think strategically and analytically, and to review and synthesize information and form independent judgements
- Ability to think through and solve critical financial and strategic challenges, as well as perform macroeconomic forecasting and individual stock analysis
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$110000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
