Director, Product Management API & Identity

Summary :

Equinix is seeking a Director of ProductManagementto define and executethevision and the API and IAM (Identity and Access Management)strategy for a new Digital Services customer experience.

The Director will define, own, and drive the digital services roadmap to build a portfolio of core customer facing services that help them consume and manage our digital products.

This position is hands-on and will lead a team of highly experienced product managers and group product managers to execute the roadmap and oversee day-to-day operations across all functional areas that digital services cover.

This requires close collaboration with all other core product teams, platform engineering, and UXstakeholders in multiple business functional areas to build critical capabilities from inception to launch.

Responsibilities :

Develop a high-level vision and strategy to build customer experience for Equinix Digital Services portfolio with reusability, consistency, and high leveragability that are industry standard in the Cloud / SaaS domain

Proactively engages with Director and VP level stakeholders to drive alignment on product management strategies to achieve product lifecycle objectives

Develops innovative approaches to scale our product offerings

Mentors their team in developing products that resonate with customers

Provides leadership, coaching and direction to the team

Lead larger, cross-functional teamfocused on execution of area or sub-function plans

Accountable for the performance and results of direct reports and overall product deliverables and success

Manage Product P&L

Be an advisor and thought leader - engaging regularly with customers and internal teams to communicate the portfolio and product strategy

Understanding of customer procurement and management behaviors for "as-a-service offerings"

Ability to take a data driven approach to making strategic financial decisions on how to deploy engineering investments and how those relate to growing top line revenue and profitability

Required Qualifications :

10+ years of B2B product management experience for software products delivered in a SaaS (Software as a Service) model isa must

Expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and compute

At least 3 years of experience leading product management teams

Experienced with IAM (Identity and Access Management)

Understanding and experience in delivering customer interfaces as microservices and APIs for consumption-based services

Bachelor's degree in software engineering, information systems or related field of study required, MBA preferred

Experience managing a global team, which encompasses working in EMEA, APAC and AMER time zones

Must be comfortable collaborating with engineering on solving problems and developing solutions

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are :

San Francisco, CA / Bay Area : $179,000 to $304,000 per year

California (Non-SF / Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state : $172,000 to $293,000 per year

Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island : $159,000 to $271,000 per year

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.

Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
