Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Logistics Patrol in Bloomfield, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service to staff and visitors. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities throughout the location to support a secure environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and / or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Assist with directing vehicle and / or pedestrian traffic as needed within the logistics and distribution environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
