As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will perform general duties involved in the precision cleaning and inspection of aerospace hardware to support Blue Origin’s launch facility and test stand programs for various spaceflight systems.
We seek employees who are passionate about space and possess a strong desire to continuously learn and improve. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Clean and passivate hardware using means such as solvent / chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods.
- Safely handle hardware utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment.
- Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct CPV Lab solvent / chemical systems.
- Inspect hardware using visual, UV light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing methods.
- Package accepted hardware and supplies for storage or shipment.
- Perform shop-level maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales, etc.
- Set up and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical measuring instruments.
- Conduct general housekeeping of Precision Cleaning Lab and Certified Clean Room area.
- Follow safety regulations and wear protective eyewear, steel-toe boots, and other applicable personal protective equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 0-20 years of precision cleaning experience
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or other relevant field
- Experience working on fluid systems with applied chemistry fundamentals.
- Basic digital literacy such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, desire to solve problems, and drive to resolve technical issues.
- Ability to lift items to 40 lbs. and use lifting equipment and machinery for heavier hardware.
- Must possess a strong work ethic, prove ability to follow directions, and meet expectations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.
S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in precision cleaning of aerospace, medical, or other precision components.
- Prior experience inspecting aerospace mechanical components and fluid systems.
- Industry certification, trade school training, and / or degree in a related field
- Work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
