Target pay range for this position is USD $75,000 - $85,000 / annually. The full salary range for this position is : USD $64,000 - $94,000 / annually.

The Branch Manager is an experienced sales, service, and compliance leader responsible for the successful operation of a full-service financial center and team.

Responsibilities include efficient management of resources and staff, developing and attaining production goals, delivering exceptional customer service, and growing membership with a commitment to CDFI and low-income designated communities.

This leader will support organizational strategies by engaging in community outreach, executing on member experience expectations, building, and implementing appropriate business and risk management plans, and developing team members for optimal performance and business success.

WHAT YOU WILL DO : Business Management

Business Management

  • Oversees all operational procedures to ensure proper systems are in place for all team members to meet operational goals.
  • Ensures compliance with banking regulations.
  • Identifies and implements methods to ensure team members are informed with key information and updates.
  • Demonstrates effective budget management (includes, but not limited to, effective and responsible expense control and timely corporate card processing)
  • Seeks and analyzes data to recommend and implement business improvements.

Leadership and People Development

Provides effective and timely formal and informal coaching that contributes to individual success of all team members;

documents both successes and opportunities for improvement to reinforce enhanced performance for all team members.

  • Demonstrates personal and team accountability for results.
  • Encourages feedback and recommendations from team members.
  • Ensures employee development processes such as performance reviews, and performance development plans align with branch, department, and organizational goals.
  • Consistently demonstrates emotional intelligence; provides feedback and coaching in a manner that builds buy in and accountability.
  • Proactively engages opportunity for growth for all team members that align with individual career goals.

Risk Management

  • Ensures risk and safety priorities are at the forefront of business operations. This includes effectively handling incidents using sound judgment to protect SCU property and ensure the safety of those in the immediate area
  • Provides timely and comprehensive investigation notes in response to member complaints and completes this task by or before the designated or regulatory due dates
  • Oversees audit completion , periodic compliance sampling, and timely implementation of remedies as a result of findings and effectively closes the loop with communication upon completion / resolution.
  • Verifies that the physical premises are secure for employees and members and addresses inconsistencies. (ie. opening / closing procedures, alarm testing, security guard daily protocols, dual custody, evacuation process, robbery training , and alarm response )
  • Ensures all training and education related to compliance are prioritized with timely completion by all team members.
  • Effectively manages loss prevention in branch and supports the safeguarding of member and SCU assets by consistently incorporating Loss Prevention training in team meetings / coaching sessions, and tracking individual contributions
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making skills in transaction approvals. Balancing risk exposure with member experience by following prescribed procedures or using best judgment as needed.

Sales and Service

  • Leads by example, demonstrating effective consultative sales and service interactions; engages with members to ensure all financial service needs are met in support of an effective team atmosphere.
  • Implements plans that ensure all Seattle CU business lines are represented and supported at the branch level.
  • Demonstrates and coaches toward a high-quality member service experience; takes immediate action to address systemic or unresolved challenges
  • Provides individual and team feedback that contributes to baseline and improved individual / branch sales, service, and achievement of operational goals.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING :

Basic Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high transaction, retail banking business environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years leading or coaching others.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of credit union history and its philosophy.
  • High School or GED.
  • Knowledgeable of financial products and services to include deposit and lending products and IRA.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in business or similar areas of study.

Working Conditions :

  • This is an onsite role with work performed in an office and / or branch environment in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State.
  • Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars or community events.
  • Employees are assigned to one location, however, may occasionally fill in at other locations.
  • Saturday hours may be required.
  • The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and may also include standing for prolonged periods.
  • This role may have direct exposure to robbery.
