Job Description
Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse to support our unit as a mid-shift Unit Supervisor.
Inova's Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is a Full Time (4x10 hour shifts) to cover hours from 12.
00p-10.30p with some on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements.

The OR is equipped with 11 surgical suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.

Job Requirements :
- One year of nursing experience is required
- PACU experience is highly desired
- Leadership experience is highly desired
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or ADN within one year of BSN completion
- RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention
- Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other clinical staff on the unit
