Description
Participate in Business Analysis efforts for Bank Operations Division on enterprise initiatives. Gather and draft business requirements, user stories, epics, etc.
for projects ensuring that it meets standards and guidelines.
- Management, Leadership, and Personal Skills
- Strong understanding of process flow, systems analysis and design techniques
- Strong Understanding of Bank Procedures & Policies Documentation
- Proficient in operations processes within banking and identifying process improvements
- Strong middle and back-office banking experience
- Knowledge of financial and credit analysis
- Knowledge of Flow Design; Databases and Database Management Tools, Data Mining (Querying) Proficiency
- Skilled in project management techniques and one or more Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies.
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of key Bank Operations functions and the respective IT / business applications supporting these functions.
- Knowledge of relevant languages used within the Bank including procedural, scripted and object-oriented languages (Java, VBA, JavaScript, ASP, SQL and HTML) a plus
- Ability to gather requirements, implement and / or document business and automation solutions based on business requirements.
- Strong understanding of User Acceptance Testing methods and practices
Job Responsibilities :
Analysis
- Analyze business processes related to automation initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate potential opportunities to enable the business through the use of technology.
- Define, document and validate business requirements. Review business requirements with internal / vendor programmers and ensure understanding.
- Facilitate and perform analysis of actual versus estimated technology costs.
Project Management
Provide the necessary level of project management and control to keep all assigned projects on schedule.
Business
- Provide linkage between business and technology groups through relationship management. Facilitate communication and act as a liaison between Business Operations business units and IT.
- Represent the interest of Business Operations business units in enterprise-wide projects.
Operations
- Process and perform day to day transactions / functions as assigned across Bank Operations, including approve / authorizations functions where appropriate or where authority is delegated
- Assist in providing oversight on the adherence to operating procedures, guidelines and internal controls.
Skills Required :
- Two plus years related experience including a solid understanding of the Bank's business with a technology focus.
- Managed phases of a small to mid-sized technology or business project
