Job Title : Project Engineer / Quality Manager
Salary Range : $60,000 - $85,000 annually

Job Description :
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Engineer / Quality Manager to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
This role is integral to ensuring the quality and compliance of our construction projects with contract documents and coordinating third-party inspections.
Key Responsibilities :
Submittal Management : Audit the Submittal Register in Procore, ensuring that each item has been submitted by the appropriate trade contractor.
Communicate with contractors about any overdue items and ensure submittals are transferred for their use.
RFI Process Oversight : Manage the RFI process in Procore, including reviewing potential RFIs for existing solutions in contract documents, and providing proposed solutions within the RFI.
Punchlist Coordination : Handle the complete punch list process, from inspecting work areas to closing out completed items.
This includes coordinating weekly department punch list walks with the Remodel Coordinator.
Third Party Inspection Services (TPIS) Coordination : Schedule and communicate TPIS in alignment with the project schedule.
Collect and upload TPIS reports to Procore and address any issues with the Project Manager and relevant Trade Contractors.
Project Photo Documentation : Take daily photos of ongoing work and document areas scheduled for work but not started. Weekly photo albums should be maintained in Procore for review.
Meeting Documentation : Document all special, one-off, and closeout meetings as per the project manual, including preparing agendas, taking notes, and distributing minutes.
Closeout Process Management : Collect as built and operation / maintenance manuals at project end. Ensure Trade Contractors maintain accurate as-built drawings and collect attic stock material for Meijer.
Site Management : Ensure cleanliness and organization of the container yard and contractor areas. Manage storage needs, waste management, and snow removal coordination.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in a similar role in construction or quality management.
Strong knowledge of Procore and project management software.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage various project elements simultaneously.
