The candidate should have strong technical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and be able to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
The position can be located in either Wilkes-Barre, PA, Parsippany, NJ, Philadelphia, PA or New York, NY.

Responsibilities
- Initiate, organize and lead the completion of actuarial work in support of rate indications, reserving, profitability analysis, or other analysis.
- Delegation of projects to direct reports.
- Manage multiple assignments independently and simultaneously.
- Manage and execute the completion of important projects on a timely manner.
- Manage, grow, and develop team members as appropriate, advocate for their continued development.
- Collaborate with our business partners in Underwriting, Sales, Product Development, and Program Management.
- Communicate results, including insights and initial recommendations within the department, to other departments, and to actuarial leadership.
Communicate to external partners as needed.
- A vocal leader within the department.
- Suggest and implement methodology enhancements and enable efficiencies within the department and throughout the organization.
- Maintain appropriate documentation that allows another analyst to understand and recreate the work product, with complete set of assumptions, data parameters, intended purposes, etc.
Salary : $130,000-$190,000 (Starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or another field with a rigorous mathematics background.
- At least 5 years of actuarial P&C experience; commercial auto experience a plus.
- An ACAS or equivalent.
- Results-oriented with the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities when necessary.
- Strong presentation and meeting leadership skills.
- Proficient in Excel and familiarity with SQL and VBA.
